UN’s 4th Financing for Development Conference 2025

The final draft outcome document of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) calls for “implementing transparent, data-driven procurement systems”, and highlights role of development partners including multilateral development banks in promoting country procurement systems.

OCP has made the case for public procurement as a development finance priority during the preparatory conference and we’ve called for better accountability in climate finance.

Why is this data so important, and what can we do with it?

We will be hosting a side event at the Conference to discuss this question with partners tracking climate and development finance from commitment through to project delivery, and we’d love for you to join our discussion!

In this interactive talkshow style discussion, we want to unpack the challenge in tracking funds, debate where to begin in tackling this challenge and discuss why we aren’t already doing this better. We want to hear your experiences, ideas and proposals for how we can improve data and delivery to rebuild public trust and business confidence in the case for great development and climate investment.
