Open Contracting Partnership 2021 Strategy Refresh

We’ve taken what worked on the front line of pandemic procurement — better data, better coordination, better inclusion, and better collaboration — and turned it into an updated strategy to power up the COVID-19 recovery. Better public procurement will be the key to strengthening our democratic institutions and unlocking innovation as we reimagine healthcare, seek to tackle climate change, or rebuild our devastated small business communities.

Government procurement is the hidden lever that determines if, how, and what quality of public goods and services reaches every single one of us. What governments buy and how they buy it tells us what they value most.

From a small team in Washington, D.C., we have become a global network with team members embedded on the front lines of change across five continents. We are spinning out from our fiscal sponsor to become our own independent charity to better serve our growing global community.

Read about how the OCP team is shifting our strategy to make sure they are more open, fair, and efficient than ever before.

This is a 2021 update to our 2019-2023 strategy.
