World Bank–IMF Annual Meetings

Organisation: World Bank-IMF. Location: Bangkok, Thailand

OCP will be in Bangkok during the World Bank–IMF Annual Meetings, connecting with partners and holding workshops on how procurement reform and better data can help governments deliver on development priorities.

We’ll also join UNODC for the official launch of new research on open contracting across ASEAN, and host an informal reception for partners and friends of open contracting.

How ready is ASEAN for open contracting?

A new UNODC report assesses the legal and regulatory foundations for open contracting across the eleven ASEAN Member States. It examines how procurement frameworks, e-procurement initiatives and anti-corruption mechanisms can support more open contracting, and how countries can strengthen their systems to advance integrity in public spending and reinforce public trust.

The report finds significant progress on procurement reform and digitisation across the region, alongside opportunities to strengthen transparency, integrity, public scrutiny and access to procurement data.

The report will be launched in Bangkok during the week of the Annual Meetings. Check back for details on when the event will be held.
